A lot of newer diagnosed members have been asking me privately about Penis Pumps,

So I think it is important to provide a post with a basic understanding.
Penile vacuum pumps consist of a cylinder that is placed over the penis and a pump that creates a vacuum within the cylinder. An erection results from the suction pulling blood into the penis. The erection is then maintained firmly by attaching a constriction ring at the base of the penis.

The Effectiveness of Penile Vacuum Pumps in Peyronie's Disease Treatment:

Enhanced Sexual Function:
Penile vacuum pumps can help individuals with Peyronie's disease achieve and maintain erections, which may alleviate difficulties during sexual intercourse. The improved sexual function resulting from the use of vacuum pumps can have positive effects on sexual satisfaction and intimacy.

Non-Invasive Nature:
Penile vacuum pumps offer a non-invasive treatment option for Peyronie's disease. They do not involve surgery or medication, making them a preferred choice for individuals who wish to avoid invasive procedures or who have contraindications to certain medications.

Curvature Correction:
Penile vacuum pumps provide consistent and controlled traction to the penis, which can help stretch the fibrous plaques over time. This traction may lead to a reduction in penile curvature, improving alignment and sexual function. Studies have shown that penile traction devices, including vacuum pumps, can contribute to curvature correction in Peyronie's disease.

Improved Blood Flow:
The vacuum created by the device promotes increased blood flow to the penis. Improved blood circulation is crucial for tissue health and can potentially slow down the progression of Peyronie's disease. By enhancing blood flow, penile vacuum pumps may help prevent further plaque formation and aid in tissue healing.

Just to add on to what clarkey has said a few other thoughts comes to mind

Psychological Well-being:
The visible penile curvature and associated sexual difficulties in Peyronie's disease can have a significant psychological impact on individuals. The use of penile vacuum pumps to improve curvature and sexual function may lead to increased self-esteem, reduced distress, and improved overall psychological well-being.

Factors Influencing Effectiveness:
While penile vacuum pumps can be effective in treating Peyronie's disease, it is important to consider several factors that can influence their effectiveness:

Patient Compliance:
Consistent and regular use of the device is crucial for optimal results. Adherence to the recommended usage schedule and technique is essential to achieve curvature correction and maintain the benefits over time.
Severity of Peyronie's Disease:
The effectiveness of penile vacuum pumps may vary depending on the severity of Peyronie's disease. In cases with significant curvature or extensive plaque formation, the efficacy of vacuum pumps alone may be limited. Combination treatments or alternative interventions may be necessary for more severe cases.

Individual Response:
The response to penile vacuum pumps can vary among individuals. While some may experience significant curvature correction and symptom improvement, others may have more modest results. Individual factors such as tissue elasticity and the extent of fibrous plaque formation can influence the response to treatment.

Last week, I made a regrettable decision.  Over a period of five days, I dedicated 30 minutes each morning and evening to this technique. My efforts were gentle, more akin to maintaining a straight position in the palm of my hand rather than a rigorous stretch.

Subsequently, on Monday night, I ingested Viagra. The following Tuesday morning, I woke to an unusual situation. Specifically, only one half of my penis, closer to the base, was erect, while the other half, nearer to the glans, remained flaccid. I managed to induce a "complete" erection through a kegel maneuver (acknowledging this wasn't ideal), but this action resulted in persistent discomfort throughout the day. Notably, the blood-filled "bubbles" over my dents that had last appeared in April reemerged, along with associated dermatological symptoms such as bruising and discoloration.

I am fully aware that my hasty adoption of manual traction, particularly without the use of a proper device, was unwise. I deeply regret this choice. At present, I am hopeful that my actions have merely exacerbated existing issues with plaques or tears temporarily, rather than initiating an entirely new phase of plaque formation. I suspect that the placement of my plaques closer to the glans, as I've heard, might not be a favorable indicator for successful traction.

My current approach is to allow my body ample rest and recovery time. However, my anxiety surrounding this situation is significant, making it challenging to divert my focus elsewhere without some resolution.

For individuals who have undergone comparable experiences with manual traction: could you share whether the effects you encountered were permanent, or if they eventually resolved over a period of weeks or months?
